Holly

Rutgers Gardens has a large holly collection.

I’ve driven by it many times, but never taken the time to photograph it. The hollies with yellow berries intrigue me.

As you can see, the light was terrible this afternoon. Harsh, washing out all of the colors. I had terrible trouble with shadows.

So no Photo of the Day. I took a few nice ones, but nothing that really stood out.

I thought this was kind of fun:

You can see all of my photos from today on Flickr.

You did well with the Holly pictures. I am fond of the yellow berried types.

Happy New Year!

Interesting article you got here. It would be great to read a bit more concerning this topic. Thanx for giving this data.

DFS, it was also very windy, just a bad day for shooting. But I did learn more about my camera. Adversity is a great teacher.

Yellow berried hollies are my favorite holly, not sure why. Maybe because red ones are more "common"? Don't know why are you so harsh to yourself, those are really nice photos!
